General Questions & FAQ’s
-
What is your Cancellation period?
I understand that life happens! cancellations of walks and visits with at least 24 hours’ notice, for cancellations of overnights with at least 48 hours’ notice are fully refundable or can be rescheduled. Late cancellations may incur a small fee.
-
Do you do last minute bookings?
We do our very best to accommodate clients with changing schedules! This includes last-minute additions. If we have the availability, we would be happy to schedule a walk or visit on short notice, with an additional rush fee of $10 that will be applied to your service. Overnights needed within 48 hrs of when they are requested will have a rush fee of $25. Please keep in mind, it is possible that your primary walker/sitter may not be available at the time of your request.
-
Pets: Why Meet & Greet first?
We love to come and do a meet & greet first to see if your caretaker and the pet(s) are a good match for one another. Our Meet & Greet is a free consultation with safe distance protocols in place for you to learn more about our services, while we interact with your pet and learn how best to meet your needs and expectations.
-
Pets: Do you offer boarding?
We offer private overnight pet sitting and walks/visits out of our clients’ homes, but do NOT have a daycare/boarding facility, nor do we offer boarding in our sitter’s homes
-
Pets: Behavioral Issues
We understand that some dogs may not be comfortable right away with a new person going into their home or leashing them up, so we always take our time and go at your pet’s pace, until we earn their trust and comfort. If there are any issues where we feel we cannot safely leash up your pup for a walk, we will contact the owners right away to see if there are any commands or treats to help the situation (given that the walker feels comfortable). If your dog has a bite history, it is your responsibility as the owner to disclose this information to me so that we can make the best decision. If we cannot safely handle or leash your pup for a walk, we do reserve the right to refuse service.
-
Are you insured or background checked?
Yes! Your peace of mind matters to me. I maintain the necessary background checks and references, and can share documentation upon request.
-
How will I know my pet or family is doing during visits?
Communication is key — I’ll provide updates, photos, and notes after each visit so you always know how things are going.
-
How do I pay for services?
Payments can be made electronically through the client portal after each service or on a set schedule, depending on your plan.
-
How are rates determined?
Rates vary based on the type of service and time needed. Book a quick consultation so we can create a plan that fits your schedule, needs, and budget.
